Some assorted vector graphics done in the "loose color" style of applying color in very rudamentary shapes beneath the actual strokes. Drawing that loosely is a new experience for me--I tend to draw "within the lines" most of the time.

Simple Flash Portfolio
Still alive--just been putting together other pieces, as well as learning Flash and Dreamweaver CS4.
Click here to see a simple portfolio done in Flash.
Description: A simple portfolio made in Adobe Flash CS4 showcasing a few pieces of mine in an interactive fashion. I can easily add in more pieces; this was more of an experiment to see if I could do it at all. I'm looking more into frame label navigation to adapt the previous and next buttons to the functions I want. The royalty-free music is copyright Incompetech.

Fashionista Sketches
"Fashionista Sketches"Examples done for a fashion illustration position that turned out to be already filled. The style was very sketchy and loose, so I made a custom brush in Photoshop to give it a marker or pastel feel. The poses were taken from reference, but the outfits are of my own creation. Took less than an hour for both.

Through the Storm

"Through the Storm"
Centaur done in Painter, details and background done in Photoshop.
Took about nine hours total, including the multiple times I redrew the background until satisfied. Drawn from scratch except for the backdrop of the clouds, which is a photo manip colored over to make it look more stormcloud-like.

Siamese and Coffee

"Siamese and Coffee"
Picture done entirely in Corel Painter. Used the various chalk tools to get the basic colors down, then heavily used the grainy blender tools to make the fur. Also used dodge and burn here and there. Named "coffee" because the colors in the background remind me of mocha.
Time taken: Less than 5 hours

Julie Character Sketch

"Julie Character Sketch"
A concept sketch of an elf girl named Julie, from the same project as Faolan. She's on the move a lot in a medieval-type setting, so I tried to design a practical outfit that fit the setting. Faolan is her guardian of sorts, and the gem ties her to him. She also has her hair cropped short, but she couldn't bear to make it too, too short. Done in Photoshop.
Time taken: About four hours.

Faolan Character Sketch
"Faolan Character Sketch"A concept character study for a fantasy character, a baby dragon named Faolan. I studied bat wings quite a bit in designing this, and lizard/cat feet. As he's supposed to be a very tiny creature (less than two feet long, counting the tail), I think he could physically work. Done in Photoshop.
Time taken: About four hours.
